Radiant Medical Centre
Delivery services
Our center provides comprehensive delivery services for pregnant women, ensuring that every mother-to-be welcomes new life in a safe, comfortable, and caring environment. Delivery plans are tailored according to the mother’s physical condition, birth preferences, and fetal health, with detailed arrangements for both natural delivery and cesarean section.
Natural Delivery (Vaginal Birth)
Natural delivery is the most common method, where the mother uses natural uterine contractions to push the baby out through the birth canal. If complications arise during labor, doctors may assist using professional instruments such as forceps or vacuum extraction.
Stages of Labor
The delivery process is divided into three stages. The first stage lasts from the onset of contractions until full cervical dilation, often accompanied by bloody show and water breaking. The second stage involves the baby’s delivery, where the mother pushes the baby out through the vagina. The third stage is the expulsion of the placenta, during which medical staff check the placenta’s completeness and monitor the mother’s health.
- Advantages:
- Lower surgical risks and faster postpartum recovery.
- Less impact on maternal and infant health.
- Passage through the birth canal compresses the baby’s head, stimulating the respiratory center and enhancing lung function, reducing the likelihood of breathing difficulties after birth.
- Disadvantages:
- Labor pain can be intense, requiring breathing and delivery techniques to assist the process.
- Risk of vaginal tissue tearing, which may require an episiotomy.
- Unpredictable delivery timing and potentially longer labor duration.
Cesarean Section(C-Section)
A cesarean section is a surgical procedure to deliver the baby through an incision in the mother’s abdomen. This method is typically used in cases such as: abnormal fetal position, maternal health issues, fetal growth or developmental abnormalities, or previous cesarean deliveries.
- abnormal fetal position
- maternal health issues
- fetal growth or developmental abnormalities
- Advantages:
- Avoidance of labor pain associated with natural delivery.
- Eliminates high risks linked to vaginal birth.
- Allows for planned, scheduled delivery.
- Disadvantages:
- Larger wound and longer recovery time, with postoperative discomfort.
- Increased surgical risks such as infection and bleeding.
- Potential impact on the mother’s future ability to deliver vaginally.
